Has been in Higher Ed publishing since 1986. He has led sales teams at both the College (Houghton Mifflin, Cengage) and K-12 Level (CSMO Houghton Mifflin/Harcourt). He created the technology sales team at Addison-Wesley Longman and helped launch MyMathLab, the most successful technology product in Higher Ed. While at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt He created the first inside sales team in K-12 publishing.

He also works on the day-to-day operations within the group to ensure smooth and transparent communication and accurate data recording.
For the past seven years, Nick has worked nearly every angle of the publishing world. From editorial at Bedford/St. Martins to higher education textbook and technology sales at Cengage Learning to K-12 digital literacy sales at Achieve3000, Nick brings his breadth of publishing knowledge to the Brian Murphy Group.
Nick works from the Boston office where he roots for the Red Sox and enjoys riding his bike.

Has over 20 years of marketing, sales, product development and business startup experience in digital learning, educational software and publishing, and research. Butch has spent the past eight years in blended and online learning research and consulting, co-authoring the Promising Practices in Online Learning series (iNACOL), Keeping Pace with K-12 Blended and Online Learning report, 11e (Evergreen Education Group), The State of Online Learning in Maryland and other state reports. He has consulted with schools, districts and state educational agencies in planning and implementing a range of digital learning programs.

Allison is the Brian Murphy Group’s Marketing Manager. Allison collaborates with Brian to develop and implement all marketing campaigns for new and existing products. She also monitors, reviews and reports on all marketing activity and results through SalesForce. In addition, Allison co-ordinates and administers research projects.
Allison has five years of experience with major publishers such as Pearson, Cengage, and Houghton Mifflin. She has a degree in Public Communication and Graphic design from American University.
Allison works from our Dublin office and is always ready to give a tour if you’re in the area.
Blake is one of BMG’s Marketing Coordinators. She is a recent graduate from Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia, where she pursued a degree in Public Relations. Although she is new to Brian Murphy Group, she has had plenty of experience in Sales and Marketing from previous jobs and internships. Her day-to-day operations consist of following up with clientele regarding new and previous products, updating our social media accounts, and providing assistance to customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Dan joined BMG in 2016 as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator. He collaborates with the team to research and reach out to customers, and he also works with clients to make sure all their needs are satisfied. Dan brings with him experience in sales, marketing, higher education, and journalism. He has a degree in English from Penn State University.
Dan works out of our Boston office and enjoys traveling, having spent extended periods of time in England and Australia.
